The Barcode SMS system is frequently used in mobile marketing, virtual tickets and coupons, and CRM, and consists of sending an image with a barcode via SMS to a mobile phone.

A Barcode SMS can be saved on the phone and used later as a discount coupon, event access, advertising games and lotteries. There are many uses for a Barcode SMS, you just have to imagine them: you will never wait in a queue again – arrive at the event, present your mobile phone with the barcode displayed on the screen, go to the special Barcode scanner and have instant access to the event. No paper invitations (which you most likely forget at home), leaflets or other additional items... just your mobile phone!

The system works as follows (we will use e-ticketing as an example):
A consumer visits the campaign website, reserves a spot and provides online payment details. The barcode certifying the reservation is sent to the consumer on their own phone. They save the barcode and, when they arrive at the location, present the virtual coupon at the entrance, where it is scanned and their entry is approved.
